Who am I and what do I do? I am a guide. I help people harness their physiology to recover from injury faster and to improve their athletic performance.
My journey into learning how the human body heals began almost twenty years ago as I began diving into the world of extreme sports, in particular skiing. I spent a decade traveling the western hemisphere competing in Freeskiing events. During the off-seasons, I expanded my competitive pursuits to downhill mountain biking and then triathlon. Throughout this period, I sustained several injuries and underwent multiple surgeries. Each recovery deepened my fascination with the body’s remarkable capacity to heal itself. This evolving interest grew into sincere passion, extending beyond injury recovery to encompass exercise recovery. The more efficiently I could recover, the further I could push my limits.
Drawing from my personal experiences and the insights gained through my recovery, I am now dedicated to helping others rehabilitate, recover and go further. I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018. To better serve those I help, I earned my Board Certification in Orthopedics through the American Physical Therapy Association as well as became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
I started Radix Movement Medicine so that I can help others take control of their bodies and their biology to heal themselves. The name Radix is derived from Latin, meaning root or primary source. The root of healing lies within each of us and it is my mission to illuminate this path for those seeking to take control of their bodies and unlock their inherent capacity for healing.
